The Foundations focus primarily on mission-related, targeted priorities and
proactively seek organizations and programs to support, rather than operating
as a traditional foundation with a grant-cycle framework.
Working cooperatively with other agencies and organizations, the Foundations
identify community needs that can be significantly impacted by investing
financial and other resources. The Foundations then initiate collaborative
efforts with the most appropriate partners to develop an approach that best
addresses the need. Rather than duplicating existing services, every effort
is made to support organizations already addressing a particular targeted
issue.
