AFN Gathering to be Held in Southeastern Ohio in 2019

The Appalachia Funders Network (AFN) was formed to convene and connect funders for learning, analysis and collaboration in support of the Appalachia region.  AFN envisions a healthy, equitable and vibrant region which, through strong partnerships, civic engagement and leadership, preserves the unique assets of Appalachia and provides prosperity for all.  The Gathering, AFN’s premier annual event, will bring together more than 100 national, regional and local funders April 2-4, 2019 in Athens, Ohio.

In support of the 2019 AFN Gathering, the Appalachian Ohio Funders Group (AOFG), a consortium of funders convened by Philanthropy Ohio, has committed an early lead sponsorship.  AOFG is an informal group of Ohio funders committed to strategically enhancing Appalachia Ohio assets through leadership, networking, financial and in-kind investments, leveraged resources and collaboration.  In addition to the Osteopathic Heritage Foundations, the following members of AOFG have committed funds to this collective sponsorship: Athens County Foundation, Foundation for Appalachian Ohio, HealthPath Foundation of Ohio, Marietta Community Foundation, Ohio Legal Assistance Foundation and Sisters Health Foundation.

Registration for the 2019 AFN Gathering will open in January.  More information is available on the AFN website.
