About the Osteopathic Heritage Foundations:

The Osteopathic Heritage Foundations (the Foundations) support community health and quality of life programs in central and southeastern Ohio as well as advance, on a local and national scope, osteopathic medical care, medical research and osteopathic medical education. 

Position Summary:

The Executive Assistant provides executive administrative support for the President/CEO and Vice President (VP).  Reporting to the CEO, the Executive Assistant performs executive support for the Foundation Boards, Committees and other related meetings and events, and assists with executive office administration and management.  Other responsibilities will be assigned by the President/CEO.  

Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to, general office functions, special projects, appointment scheduling, coordinating correspondence, coordinating travel and meeting arrangements; coordinating executive communications, including taking calls, responding to emails and interfacing with staff, Board members and Foundation partners; support and logistics for Boards of Directors and Committee meetings, including preparing and distributing meeting materials, drafting meeting minutes, distributing approved minutes and maintaining general Board related correspondence; coordinating and managing communications and RSVPs for Foundation sponsored events and meetings, as assigned; and support for on and off site meetings, including greeting guests, preparing meeting spaces and coordinating catering, as needed.  Proficiency in the Foundations’ grantmaking database, Blackbaud Grantmaking, is a requirement of this positon to maximize functionality and application to improve Foundation operations and coordination among staff.

Position Requirements and Qualifications:

Five to seven years of experience as an executive assistant in an environment with multiple objectives and activities, preferably in a nonprofit and/or philanthropic setting. College degree is preferred.  Extensive experience in Microsoft Office products and use of applications to generate letters, reports and schedules required. Additional qualifications and characteristics include: commitment to vision, mission and values of the Foundations; attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple projects and resources simultaneously; demonstrated experience in working as a supportive team member in organizations with a small, diverse staff; willingness to travel as required in fulfilling responsibilities; and a desire to learn through internal training and attending educational offerings to support position requirements.
